About

This program is for teachers, professors and school staff who want to improve their own understanding of green building principles and strategies in order to better prepare students for green jobs. Teachers will be prepared to pass the LEED Green Associate exam using a curriculum they can deliver in their classrooms. The intended audience of this training is K12 teachers, higher education professors, and school, facility or district support staff; this course is not intended for those who provide corporate, business or professional trainings.

The cost of the course includes eight live sessions, online textbook, curriculum, and registration for the LEED Green Associate exam. Participants will attend the course in January and February 2024. Following registration for the course, participants will be provided with a promo code to use for exam registration, which will be valid for 4 months following the completion of the course.

Watch a quick overview video of the course from the instructor.

The Course The sessions will include a mix of instruction and peer learning with fellow teachers, as well as independent reading prior to each session. Each participant will receive the “LEED Green Associate Exam Preparation Guide, LEED v4 Edition”, which will be used to prepare for the exam and plan strategies to engage students with green building concepts and career paths. The course slides will then be provided to participants to use in their classrooms.
